Description

Capsule Info

Each capsule contains 25 mg of cbd (about 5% of which is in the precursor form CBDA – read about its benefits here). These gel caps are made with a water-soluble liquid containing other phytocannabinoids such as CBG, CBN, CBC and over 40 naturally present terpenes. The patent-pending water soluble formulation is a nano-particulate delivery system of micro-emulsions. The cannabinoid emulsion droplets range from 10-100 nm in size, maximizing the surface area for absorption in the body. The resulting bioavailability is 3-5 times higher than cannabiniods delivered in oil, leading to enhanced biological response.

Lab Data

Sample submitted: “CBD capsules – 25 mg”
Notes: Volume of oil in each capsule was not determined. Multiply the results in mg/ml by the ml of oil in each capsule to obtain mg CBD per capsule. If there is 0.5 ml oil per capsule, then 54.2 mg/ml CBD x 0.5 ml = 27.1 mg CBD per capsule, consistent with 25 mg per capsule.

Activated vs non-activated: activated cannabinoids are non-acidic (neutral) and are the form utilized by the human brain/ body. Activation occurs via heating (smoking, vaporizing, cooking). Cannabinoids in the natural plant are acidic (non-activated) and need to be converted to their neutral form in order to be utilized by the human body. Therefore one would expect fresh cannabis buds to contain mainly non-activated cannabinoids. Processed materials (baked goods, heated extracts) should be higher in the activated forms.

Absent Cannabinoids: if a cannabinoid or terpene is blank, it is not necessarily absent but below the limit of detection by the detector (usually less than 0.01%).
