Info:
This strain of Charlotte’s Web has 0.64% THC and almost 16.77% CBD. The cloned version of Charlotte’s Web was cultivated by Colorado breeders The Stanley Brothers specifically for a young epileptic patient named Charlotte. This is a phenotype of that popular strain. A fairly clear-headed relaxation is the common high. If you are a veteran THC smoker you may notice very little ‘high’ at all. The Charlotte’s Web cannabis strain has become a popular option in the treatment of seizures, as well as many other neural, physical, and physiological clinical medical conditions.
In 2013, CNN featured a story about a family in Colorado whose very young daughter Charlotte was suffering from Dravets Syndrome. This genetic disorder caused hundreds of seizures. No medication provided any relief for Charlotte’s condition. Finally, her parents decided to try cannabis oil, having read some promising studies about the effects of high-CBD (cannabidiol) cannabis strains.
Profound Effect
Charlotte was gripped by extremely violent seizures at the rate of over a thousand per month. Once treatment with CBD oil began, her seizures decreased to just a few episodes per month, allowing Charlotte and her family to live a more normal life.
High-CBD strains of cannabis have great importance being smoked or eaten like other varieties, but their true value lies in the infusion of oil with extracted CBD. Extraction and infusion greatly intensifies the anti-inflammatory and neuromedical effects of CBD.
About Charlotte’s Web Strain
Colorado’s Stanley Brothers, breeders of the Charlotte’s Web cannabis strain and makers of CBD oil, originally called the variety “Hippie’s Disappointment” because the level of THC (delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol) was so low there was no “stone.” However, the CBD levels were far above anything else on the market.
They crossed an unnamed strain with industrial hemp, breeding Charlotte’s Web weed strain, a plant that produces up to 20 percent CBD. It was perfect for extraction of CBD and concentrated infusion into a potent oil.
The biggest challenge for Charlotte’s family had been finding a strain of cannabis that would work well for high-CBD medications. CBD is found in the resins produced by a flowering cannabis plant, also the main source of THC. The family only wanted the effects of the CBD, without getting their child stoned as part of the treatment.
The Stanleys heard about Charlotte’s affliction, refined Hippie’s Disappointment into their world-famous Charlotte’s Web sativa strain and developed a potent CBD Oil from it.
Medicinal Revolution
Charlotte’s Web sativa was a sensation after the CNN story, with families flocking to Colorado just to be able to get their hands on the cbd oil. The plants chosen to make CBD oil can by law only contain up to 0.3 percent THC, essentially providing no psychoactive effect whatsoever.
However, no other strain of cannabis even comes close to the 20 percent CBD levels found in Charlotte’s Web cannabis. That’s around 300 times the CBD levels found in the average recreational strains of weed.
Cannabis is frequently proving to have medicinal properties that profoundly change the lives of patients. Pain relief, mental issues, even eating disorders have been treated successfully with the plant or its extracts. Charlotte’s Web represents a great success for the industry, patients and society as a whole.
Lab Data:
Sample submitted: “Charlotte’s Web” dried cannabis flowers.
Visual Inspection: Free from visible contamination and foreign matter.
Activated vs non-activated: activated cannabinoids are non-acidic (neutral) and are the form utilized by the human brain/ body. Activation occurs via heating (smoking, vaporizing, cooking). Cannabinoids in the natural plant are acidic (non-activated) and need to be converted to their neutral form in order to be utilized by the human body. Therefore one would expect fresh cannabis buds to contain mainly non-activated cannabinoids. Processed materials (baked goods, heated extracts) should be higher in the activated forms.
Absent Cannabinoids: if a cannabinoid or terpene is blank, it is not necessarily absent but below the limit of detection by the detector (usually less than 0.01%).
•when reporting totals, acidic cannabinoids are multiplied by 0.877 to account for loss of mass from decarboxylation upon heating (activating)

I take high CBD medical marijuana to treat the irritability and depression and myriad other symptoms I get when I have been exposed to fragrances and VOCs from new buildings, new cars, etc. I try to avoid exposures, but when I can’t (when flying, shopping, etc.) an eyedropper of the oil I make from this strain (ground then heated in olive oil over double boiler for half hour, then taken before and after the exposure, under the tongue then swallowed) really helps. I used to use Wilbur (related strain) from Aphria, but they discontinued. This has very similar effect. I don’t notice the THC when I take oil under my tongue. Which is my preference. I only want the CBD/anti-inflammatory effect without any high, and that’s what I get with this. I alternate between this and a pure CBD oil I still get from Aphria. (The Charlotte’s Wed gives me a bit of THC for the synergistic effect but not so much that I feel high, and it also has many other terpenes that I suspect are also medicinal that I don’t get in the pure CBD oil. But I still alternate with pure CBD oil to be sure I don’t get too much THC.) I have tried MANY strains from 4 sources. As a person who wants purely medicinal effect and little to no high (when made into an oil and taken orally–I can’t speak to its effect if smoked), this is an excellent choice. I’m re-ordering today.

This strain is great for anxiety, insomnia and pain. The 1:1 strain is a perfect balance between CBD and THC. Super relaxing, but not too strong. VERY high quality bud — fresh and aromatic. Cannabis Care shipped the order quickly with double-sealed, discrete packaging. A+++++++

I find this CBD-rich strain to be slightly more “sativa”-like than others, promoting more alertness and less relaxation than higher CBD strains. However, this was still useful for my anxiety and gave me an excellent sleep. Cannabis Care promptly sent my order and the product is of high quality. Recommended!

Nice mellow high. The almost 1:1 THC to CBD ratio keeps my head clear, but numbed down.

definitely earthy in taste, similar to what we used to call “dirt” weed back in the day, will try a different strain next time I order. I was very surprised that one could order up these products via the net without a medical allowance, isn’t it still illegal?? Regardless, a very safe way to buy product without having to go to the street. Also liked the quick delivery. Thanks, PC

Charlottes Webb is well-known as a strain with little thc. Usually less than 1%. This isn’t charlottes Webb so don’t call it charlottes Webb. I’m well aware of phenotypes and genotypes with a growing background but in my opinion this is false advertisement. Very good strain other than that tho. Great nose, smooth smoke and awesome high!
