Strain Info

THC Potency: 19.46%
Type: Indica
Burn: Smooth burning, clean white ash. Appears to be well flushed.

Info:

Grape Ape is a pure Indica strain made up of 100% Indica genetics. This strain was created by crossing Mendocino with Skunk #1 and Afghani. Grape Ape is a product of Apothecary Genetics based out of California. The name of this strain comes from the appearance and flavour of the flowers themselves.

This strain boasts very heavy Indica effects with moderate THC levels. Grape Ape effects set in fast and can last for hours of full-body relaxation and sedation. Many are using this product for insomnia due to the Indica nature, but it has also been reported to be great for inflammation, pain, and anxiety in some reports.

Potency on this strain would be average as it typically does not go over 20% THC ranging from 15% up to 20% in the highest tests. Making this a great strain for any level of THC user, however, we advise using this strain in the evening as overindulging may find you locked to the couch and very unproductive.

Flowers of this strain are very dense in structure and range from small to medium in size. Ranging in colours from bright green, amber orange, and deep purple, this strain is very visually appealing. Upon opening the bag you will note smells of fruit and berry which translate to pungent skunk and hash on the exhale.

Lab Data:

Sample submitted: “Grape Ape” dried cannabis flowers.
Visual Inspection: Free from visible contamination and foreign matter.

Activated vs non-activated: activated cannabinoids are non-acidic (neutral) and are the form utilized by the human brain/ body. Activation occurs via heating (smoking, vaporizing, cooking). Cannabinoids in the natural plant are acidic (non-activated) and need to be converted to their neutral form in order to be utilized by the human body. Therefore one would expect fresh cannabis buds to contain mainly non-activated cannabinoids. Processed materials (baked goods, heated extracts) should be higher in the activated forms.

Absent Cannabinoids: if a cannabinoid or terpene is blank, it is not necessarily absent but below the limit of detection by the detector (usually less than 0.01%).

•when reporting totals, acidic cannabinoids are multiplied by 0.877 to account for loss of mass from decarboxylation upon heating (activating)
