Info: Island Honey is a rarely found strain created by Emerald Health Botanicals from Victoria BC. It is a sativa-dominant hybrid that delivers a long-lasting, full body high according to patient reports. The high can be more like an indica than a sativa so see how this affects you before you make any plans to socialize. In general the high is happy and energetic but pain relieving. Many people find this appropriate for daytime use.
The Island Honey strain is a fairly new cannabis plant variety. It is a quite rare sativa leaning hybrid that was originally created in a cannabis seed lab in Victoria, British Columbia. The Island Honey weed strain offers typical sativa effects and has a reasonably high thc level of around 15 percent or greater. As you might expect, the Island Honey cannabis strain gets its name due to the sweet honey and fruity aroma that it gives off. It doesn’t sort of smell like honey either, it smells like actual honey with faint undertones of lemony citrus, earthy spices, and a bit of woody skunk.
The Island Honey sativa strain plant has typical sativa leaning hybrid characteristics. It grows fairly tall and thin, however, it does not get as tall and thin as a pure sativa strain. The Island Honey sativa hybrid has retained some of the indica characteristics from its complex lineage. You will see some bushiness and slightly broader than normal leaves. This is a great indoor plant to grow. It does fantastic in a high light indoor setting that has plenty of air flow. You will also notice that it grows in a fairly low maintenance manner, not requiring intense care like many pure sativa plants require. It flowers in approximately 10 weeks and has stout dense nugs that have a moderate resinous layer covering them.
One of the primary effects of this strain is happiness. Many people who have tried it describe it as being a great strain to use while listening to music. It’s also great at keeping a person calm, relaxed, and pain-free. If you like to smoke a little herb before a social gathering, then this is the perfect strain for that. Although it will keep you relaxed, it won’t subdue you or leave you feeling lethargic. You can also use this strain if you plan to do some cooking, cleaning, or organizing. It will keep you sharp and laser focused on the task at hand, making it a busy bee’s go to herb
With regard to Island Honey’s medicinal effects, it is particularly great as a treatment for chronic pain. Whether the pain is from arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, spinal compression, or headaches, you will find that it works fast as a pain suppressant. This is also an ideal strain to treat depression, as you will find it next to impossible not to be happy after one or two bong rips off of it.
Lab Data
Sample submitted: “Island Honey” dried cannabis flowers.
Visual Inspection: Free from visible contamination and foreign matter.
Activated vs non-activated: activated cannabinoids are non-acidic (neutral) and are the form utilized by the human brain/ body. Activation occurs via heating (smoking, vaporizing, cooking). Cannabinoids in the natural plant are acidic (non-activated) and need to be converted to their neutral form in order to be utilized by the human body. Therefore one would expect fresh cannabis buds to contain mainly non-activated cannabinoids. Processed materials (baked goods, heated extracts) should be higher in the activated forms.
Absent Cannabinoids: if a cannabinoid or terpene is blank, it is not necessarily absent but below the limit of detection by the detector (usually less than 0.01%).

It’s much the same as described. I found the high to be very mellow compared to other sativa I have tried. It lasts a long time and is very relaxing and kills pain very effectively. It also gives me nice warm, happy feeling. Good for a nice evening at home with Netflix on.
